Did you know that the Autodromo del Terramar is one of the oldest in Europe that remains intact?
The Autodromo de Terramar, inaugurated on November 28, 1923 in the municipality of Sant Pere de Ribes, was part of the City - Garden project that Francisco - Armengol designed in Sitges between 1920 and 1930.
Of the three race tracks that were built at the beginning of the 20th century, Terramar, Monza and Brooklands, is the only one that remains intact. In it important races were celebrated like the First International Great Prize of Spain and they ran great of the motor like Alberto Divo, Nuvolari, Dario Resta.
It had a short life, perhaps for this reason today the race track of Terramar is the only one that is preserved intact of those realized at the beginning of century XX. You can still see the whole oval track, 2 km long, with its curves and vertigo peaks.
