On April 22nd at 6:30 pm on the terraces of the Santiago Rusiñol Library, the Sant Jordi Proclamation will be given by editor Mar González, founder of Babulinka Books.
On April 23rd, the Sant Jordi Fair will be held on Passeig de la Ribera, where there will be book and rose stalls from 10 am to 8 pm.
We can also enjoy a performance by the Sitges Canta choir at 6:30 pm on Passeig de la Ribera, in front of the statue of El Greco, and the traditional sardana dance performance, which will close the day with the Cobla Maricel, at 8:15 pm at Cap de la Vila.
On April 26th, at 10:30 am, in the gardens of the Casino Prado, the Pompeu Fabra Literary Breakfast: ¡Jugada Maestra! will be held! Actor Òscar Intente will present a dramatization about the intellectual, human, and political figure of the genius who organized the Catalan language. Following the presentation, there will be a debate-talk entitled "Do We Keep the Language Alive?" Fabra's Legacy. General admission, including breakfast, is €6, and €3 for Prado members. Tickets can be purchased at casinoprado.cat or on the day at the entrance to the gardens.
From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Miramar Cultural Center auditorium, Sitges en Vers will feature live music, dance, and poetry, with poems dedicated to the Virgin of Montserrat by authors such as Pedrolo, Raspall, Carner, Espriu, and Arderiu.
At 7:00 p.m., in the Gothic Room of the Maricel Museum, there will be a Reading Marathon for adults. Although the activity is free, advance reservations are required on the museusdesitges.cat website or at the reception desk of the Sitges Museums.
