NATURAL PARK With an area of 12,820 hectares, Garraf Park is located south-west of the Catalan coastal mountain range, between the Baix Llobregat, Alt Penedès and Garraf. It borders the lower valley of the Llobregat, the Mediterranean Sea and the Penedès depression.
The presence of limestone and the effects of erosion have created a unique landscape with caves, potholes, sinkholes and sinkholes. Garraf Park has its own vegetation, among which highlights the palm (margalló). As for the fauna, the eagle, the horseshoe bat and the Mediterranean turtle. The great development of the karstic system has allowed the formation of an interesting cave life, to the point that we find unique endemic species in the world.
Other items to note are the vineyard huts and dry stone walls that surround old farmhouses and some of the small towns that are inside the park.
