La Capbussada

Sitges will open the calendar of events for 2025 with La Capbussada, a fun activity that for the fourth consecutive year will bring together hundreds of people on San Sebastián beach to take the first dip of the year. Sitges City Council, in collaboration with Ràdio Sitges, is once again promoting this unique experience on January 1, at 12 noon, which allows participants to challenge the temperature of the sea water to bathe in it.

The proposal is suitable for audiences of all ages and will be enlivened by Ràdio Sitges and DJ Nuria Scarp. After the swim, chocolate will be served to participants, the best costume will be awarded and a prize draw will be held, courtesy of Sitges merchants.

Registration is free, but it is recommended to register in advance, until December 30, at the FerranSports stores (calle Jesús, 22) or at Somnis de Colors (Camí de la Fita, 18). Registration can be done from 11 to 11.45 am at the main entrance to San Sebastián beach.

Sitges Town Hall provides a lifeguard service for this activity to ensure the safety of bathers.
