It has been a long time since that October 4, 1986, when Sitges entered the famous Guinness Book of Records with the longest table in the world. Organized by Foment de Turisme de Sitges, the event gathered 6300 diners seated along a spectacular 2400 m table. Installed in the incomparable framework that offers the walk of Sitges, with the sea on one side of the table and the palm trees on the other. We remember with fondness that day in which we enjoy the delicious and traditional xató de Sitges, tortillas, sausages ...
Almost all the people responded to the initiative of Foment de Turisme, snatching the record of the longest table in the world to the Swedish city of Hudikswall, which in the day managed to gather 4000 people at a table 1,007 meters.
