One of the legends about Sitges says ...

The Masia de Campdàsens belonged formerly to a family whose eldest son, Rafel, lost his sight because of a fight with bandits. His parents, worried about their future after going blind, decided half of the property of the Masia to the woman who wanted to share his life with him. Thus came Marina, a young woman from Jafra who became Rafel's wife. The passage of time and the death of Rafel's parents, were forging the sour character of both. Little by little, Marina became a desolate and sad woman.

On August 24, the day of Sant Bartomeu, patron saint of Sitges, the couple went to the town to attend their Festa Major, by the only way there was and that wound the whole coast.

Halfway, it began to rain hard, but still Rafel decided that they should continue and ordered Marina not to stop. He let go of his hand, instinctively. Marina followed as best she could while they were arguing. Suddenly he noticed that Rafel was heading dangerously into the abyss. A single gesture, could continue with his ordeal, or release it forever. He decided the second option.

Marina was tried and sentenced to die beheaded. Legend has it that her body, inside a sack full of black cats, was thrown to the same place where her husband fell; And its head, inside a cage, was nailed to the precipice where the hawks nested. Many years later his skull could still be seen in the same place. According to the legend, this is the hitoria that gives name to this cliff of Sitges.
